Abstract
. This study determines the dimensions and criteria for selecting a watershed park based on the DEMETL method in the watersheds of the General Directorate of Natural Resources of Mazandaran-Sari Province.
In the qualitative part of the study, expert interviews and a review of documents and articles were used. Data from qualitative studies were also used in the quantitative part of the study. The quantitative part was descriptive-analytical in which the DEMETL method was used.
Based on the interviews and review of related documents and articles, 5 dimensions and 26 criteria for selecting a watershed park were identified. The highest impact of economic criteria and weighted average height; the highest economic and social impact; the highest level of economic and social interaction; the highest level of causality of weighted average height and weighted average slope; The highest degree of disability was identified in the number of watershed management structural operations and the volume of watershed management structural operations.
This study, by identifying and introducing indicators that have a more obvious role in the selection of a target location by tourists, increases the likelihood of tourists choosing that location and, as a result, helps to grow the ecotourism industry,
Given the redefinition and nascent nature of the construction of watershed parks, this research introduces for the first time the factors involved in the location-design of this type of park in the watersheds of Mazandaran province.
