Analysis of the indicators driving resilience in the tourism economy of Shush Daniyal city.

Abstract

Context and Purpose:development of tourism heavily depends on the resilience and problem-solving capabilities of the tourist destination.Identifying these factors is crucial for the growth of tourism in this region. This article examines the key indicators that drive the resilience of the tourism economy in Shush Danyal.

Methodology:The present research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The statistical population consisted of experts and specialists in urban and tourism issues, selected through non-random purposeful sampling with a sample size of 50.For data collection, questionnaires were used, and for data analysis, multinomial logistic regression was employed.

Findings:The results regarding the main drivers and factors influencing the resilience of the tourism economy indicated that, among the six considered drivers/factors, the most significant drivers influencing the resilience of the tourism economy in Shush Danyal are, in order of importance: marketing resilience with a coefficient of effect (0.262),management and governance resilience (0.250), financial/economic resilience (0.249).

Conclusion: Investment, diversification of tourism income, creating sustainable financial resources, developing local tourism entrepreneurship, establishing related processing industries, developing digital infrastructure, online marketing and sales of tourism services, drafting long-term plans to cope with potential crises, and reducing bureaucracy and facilitating regulations have had positive effects on the resilience of the tourism economy in Shush Danyal.

Originality/value.The present study has managed to incorporate a combination of concepts from economics, environment, information technology, and others to analyze the relevant indicators. This can serve as a data foundation for discovering and analyzing indicators in future studies.
